WE’RE HAVING A BABY!
Baby Girl Hutson McCracken will be joining our Pacific Northwest human-animal commune sometime around May 31st, 2026 (ish) (she’ll definitely be a Gemini though, whew).

WE GOT MARRIED
In 2024, on a windy, spectacular June day in Iceland, we said our vows and drank glacier water from a Viking horn in front of a waterfall. (The horn water was what made it legal, we were told.)
THEN WE MADE BELLINGHAM OUR HOME
Texas got a little too hot, in more ways than one. We struck out to seek our fortune in the rainy lands of Tara’s ancestors, aka Washington state. We much prefer the weather, the politics, and the overall vibe of this cool, clear rainforest by the sea. So we decided…
IT WAS THE PERFECT PLACE TO START A FAMILY
…to make use of our multiple wombs and start creating the next generation of Pacific Northwesterners! We will be welcoming our first baby, a daughter whose name you will hopefully only say good things about, in late May 2026. We can’t wait to meet her (literally, we’re extremely impatient while also wanting to honor her need for space and cooking at the moment).

We can’t wait to get rolling on this parenting journey, which we hear is easy, low-stress, and typically pretty smooth sailing! We’ll update this site when she arrives so you can meet her.
Being that most of our family and friends are scattered across the US and abroad, we decided a baby shower made no logistical sense, but we did create a registry for the many of you who have asked and have the deepest gratitude to anyone who would like to contribute to baby girl’s new human starter pack. 🩷
